Little Peanut

If Molly were here, I'd dress her up in a cute shirt that said something like this:

I'm going to be a Big Sister!

Yep, we're pregnant. We found out just before Valentine's Day that we are expecting peanut number two. We saw the doctor around 8 weeks, got to see the little guy or gal, and hear the heartbeat thumping away, fast and furious. Our estimated due date is around October 19th, just 8 days before my birthday. Read below how we shared the news with our family:

Cupid has struck
And soon you will see,
All the love
Between Jacob and me!

Our little Valentine
Is due to arrive
On October the 19th
At a quarter past five!

To say that we are thrilled is an understatement. We have prayed and cried so much for this little baby, far before conception. And of course, we'll continue to pray for the little squirt as we continue along.

Join us as we celebrate this new life and pray for us as we enjoy this gift from God, each day we are given.

Rebecca, we've never met---I heard Molly's story last year, began reading your blog, and have had you in my prayers ever since. Many, many congratulations to you and your entire family on this precious little soul. There is a world of people out there praising God for this wonderful news---some you know, some you don't---and while I won't presume to speak for the masses, let me say, "thank you," for continuing to inspire us with your faithfulness. I'd like to think that Molly placed a kiss on this baby's sweet head and told him or her to take good care of Mom and Dad.

Praising God with you, that is just awesome. I have to tell you, my mom was on a plane last October 29th to meet us at the hospital. Our 5th child was born still that morning due to a cord accident. She had read the magazine article about you all on the plane on the way down and passed it along to me just hours after we said goodbye to our sweet and precious Samuel. Your story has encouraged me. I am so happy for you all! Praying for a wonderful pregnancy for you!
