First ever speaking engagement!!

I am so delighted to be doing my very first speaking engagement for a truly wonderful organization called MEND. It stands for Mommies Enduring Neonatal Death. There are several chapters across Texas, Oklahoma, and even my home state of Arkansas!

I will be speaking for the chapter in Houston, TX! I was so excited to take a plane ride, by myself. And walk into my hotel room, by myself. Eat dinner, by myself. Have breakfast tomorrow, by myself. I think you get the point.

I am speaking about grief and loss and the perspectives that I have gained as a result of going through those losses. I'll mostly be sharing Molly's story and about how her precious little life drew me closer to the heart and throne of Jesus.

Pray with me that the power of the Holy Spirit will speak through me and use me as a tool to share the hope and grace of Jesus Christ to those who do not know Him. That it would not be me that they hear, but instead the gentle nudge of the Holy Spirit beckoning their hearts towards Him. I am just so humbled and in awe that I get to do this.

Woo hoo!! I am super excited and probably will be really nervous come tomorrow. I hope I can sleep, but if not, oh well! I'll sleep great tomorrow! :)

Rebecca, your story brought tears to my eyes today. You are beautiful inside and out and as you said, you belong to this club you would NEVER request to be in. I had an early miscarriage in March 2008 at 9.5 weeks.
I am so sorry for your losses of Molly Ann, Micah and two tiny angels earlier this year. Just know that what you shared today (and in your book and in future speaking engagements :)) has and will touch lives. We all need to cry out to Jesus in order to make it through these awful tragedies in our lives.
Love and hugs,

Hi Rebecca, I was so excited when the flyer said you had a blog! :) It was a pleasure to hear you speak, you did awesome. I lost my little girl 2+ years ago after 13 days in the NICU. I could relate to your story on so many levels. Thank you for sharing your Molly, Micah and both of your miscarriages with us. I LOVE that you emphasized that it is okay to carry joy. Okay to laugh. I look forward to reading your blog! I have included a link to mine if you wish to visit :)

Rebecca, thank you for sharing your heart and the encouragement of the Father this weekend. It was such a blessing. I don't know how in the world you did it in light of your most recent losses, but our family was blessed by your words.
