Finally here...
This day has finally dawned. I am just so thrilled that we are here on the 5th and that the girls are still causing a ruckus in my tummy. Oh how I love their kicks and squirms! Calms my little heart as I feel them moving around. :) And I truly cannot believe that we have made it to 38 weeks!! Really, I am seriously grateful that we have made it so far and will hopefully take home baby girls when we go home later this week!! I mean, we might actually get to use our car seats and blankets to take them home and put them in the crib and use the diapers and all of that stuff!! :)
I woke up at 5 this morning to Lambchop scratching at her crate to be let out. I took her outside to do her thing and then tried to go back to sleep. Well, sleep evaded me as my excited heart started fluttering faster and faster.
I got up and talked to my sweet sister Laura while she drove to work and then I talked to my mother in law, Pam. I'm sitting in the nursery, hopefully the last time I'll do this with clean sheets, tags on clothes, new diapers and wipes, and a fully belly. Well, hopefully not the very last time but you get the idea.
I don't know what else to say this morning except that I am just so ready and so glad that I don't have to wait much longer! Just hours instead of days! Thank you all SO much for praying for us constantly over the past 2 years!! We are so grateful and excited to introduce to you all our precious girls.
My dad will be taking over my blog for the day so check back often as he will be updating everyone! We will get to the hospital at 10 and then the c-section will be at 12, unless there are a bunch of emergencies, then they will push back our surgery till they are caught up.
Updates to come, very soon!!

In my mind, I keep hearing the Red Grammer song that we sing to kids in my music class when it is their birthday. Here are the lyrics:
"On the day that Piper and Lily were born,
On the day that Piper and Lily were born,
On the day that Piper and Lily were born, the angels sang, and they blew on their horns, and they danced, they danced!
They smiled and raised up their hands!
On the day, on the day, that Piper and Lily were born!
You can take a listen to it here: http://www.amazon.com/Hello-World-Red-Grammer/dp/B000008QNS
It is the fourth track, "On the Day You Were Born."
Blessings to you and your whole family today!
I started reading your blog spot in August, my husband bought me your book to read while I recovered from spinal surgery. I dont know you, but I feel like I do know you now. Thanks for allowing us to go through this journey with you! I have been praying for you and your husband and your 2 precious little girls. I am so happy that today is the day that you will be meeting them. I am not on the computer much but when I am my husband always says are you checking up on Rebecca and I usually am.
I read my devotions today and they said LET ME SHOW YOU My way for you this day. I guide you continually, so you can relax and enjoy My presence in the present. Living well is both a discipline & a art. Concentrate on staying close to Me, the divine Artist. Discipline your thoughts to trust Me as I work My ways in your life. Pray about everything; then, leave outcomes up to Me. Do not fear My will, for through it I accomplish what is best for you. Take a deep breath & dive into the depths of absolute trust in Me. Underneath are my everlasting arms!! I know you know this!! I am thinking about you and praying for you all day today! Love, Donna Dykstra
always praying for you....
To God be the Glory!!!
