The Girls are HERE!
Giving thanks that Piper 6-5 and Lily 6-10, both 19" long, born at 12:11 and 12:12 are here!
Mom and girls are all healthy...the girls have hair, are really pink, don't look like one another right now, and have GOOD lungs--crying!!!!!
Rebecca is back in her room resting. She is a bit warm from all the anethesia. Her mom is fanning her to cool her down a bit. She wants a POPSICLE!!! Unfortunately she has a really "mean" nurse, it's ice chips instead.
Becs primary emotion right now is "I'M HOT!" and "I want to see my girls!" "I want to hold them!!!!!!!!!"
Jake has posted a video on uTube, try this: www.utube.com/watch?v=Q5WjDkPK1iU
More from Rebecca later! And pictures to follow...
Give thanks with us.

Our God is an Awesome God!!!!!!!
praying for you all, even you, you happy grandpa!:D
Try not to overdo it after having a c-section! You may feel like you can do it all but you'll regret it later and will be sore.
I'm wondering if the girls are identical. We have twin boys that looked different at birth and varied in size but it wasn't long and we could see they were identical in every way. (They also had tested the placenta to find out).

So so thankful for God's blessing to you today!
Every day, around my neck, I wear a necklace--a tiny baby shoe with "Joshua July 15, 2004" imprinted on the bottom. Our son went to be with Jesus that day, after I carried him to term. What a sweet mystery, the Lord's ability to hold His children in the middle of our grief, weeping with us in the pain and smiling at the work He is accomplishing all the while. Molly and Micah share Heaven with our son...and today they have 2 little sisters who have entered the world. Wow.
CONGRATULATIONS x 2!!! I have had 3 c-sections now, so I'm praying very specifically tonight, Rebecca, as you are itchy, queezy, exhausted....and so happy all at the same time. You thought that you had bonded with the girls while in utero, but my guess is that the bonding is just beginning. My days in the hospital with our daughter, the first child born to me after losing Josh, were so sweet...and for the first 6 months that she was home, I could barely look at her without tears. Beautiful. Sweet. Pretty. Precious. Healthy. And here. Really, really here.
I am so thankful that Piper and Lily are here and that they are well. Praise the Lord for His wonderful gifts!
In June 2008, I read your dad's words online, and my heart traveled instantly back to our days of sorrow just 4 summers before. In Moby this past July, I watched you stand and saw the necklace you wore...members of the same club, we are. Daughters of the King, and mamas to 4 babies each. :) Oh--and we love adoption, too. We have one adopted son and are in the process of adopting another. :)
One last connection...(someday perhaps you'll have time to read all of this silliness)...when I joined staff, I reported to HQ in Orlando. One of the contacts I had been given when I was raising support was one Bill Mutz. :) He was a contact from a contact in my hometown of Columbus, Indiana. He said that he couldn't support me financially right then, but if I ever was buying a car, let him know. I did, and driving to Lakeland a few times with my then beau, Jeff, was a huge time in our courtship. Jeff, a Ford guy, was thrilled when I settled on the Escort.....which we still have. That was 1998, and that car is a machine!!! One of the best parts of the trip was sitting in Bill's office, picture frames of beautiful children all around him, and hearing of his trust in God in the area of family. We were only dating then, but the words he shared would be important for years to come in our marriage.
We just celebrated 10 years. It's been a wild and amazing ride, and God, as He says He Is, has been Faithful through all.
Thanks for letting me share...your blog words have encouraged me this evening, and your news has taken my breath away. I'm praying for you all...
In Christ's Love,
Sarah Hoffman
